Receipt Maker - QuickReceipt is an offline-first receipt maker app with no account required. Your receipt data is stored locally on your device.
Effective Date: 07/16/2026
1. Overview
QuickReceipt ("the App") is operated by wpggLabs ("we", "our", or "us"). QuickReceipt is an offline-first receipt maker: it does not require an account or login, and the records you create are stored locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy explains what the App stores on your device, what information may be processed by other services when you choose to use optional features, and the choices you have. It covers the QuickReceipt mobile app and, in the Website Analytics section, the quick-receipt.com website.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
We do not require account creation and we do not operate servers that receive or store your receipt data. The App stores your information locally on your device, in private app storage, including:
• Receipt and sale details — amounts, dates, receipt IDs, descriptions, payment method, taxes, fees, tips, tolls, notes, and template choices
• Passenger or customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, and addresses (if you enter them)
• Business or driver profile details, your company logo, and expense receipt photos (stored as image files in the App's private storage)
• Trip pickup and drop-off addresses (rideshare mode), expense entries, saved passengers and customers, recent and favorited addresses, unfinished drafts, app preferences, and reports or exports generated from your local data
None of this information is transmitted to wpggLabs. We do not maintain a cloud database, sync service, or backend for your receipt data, and the App does not currently provide any QuickReceipt-operated cloud backup. Information leaves your device only in the situations described below.
3. Information Processed When You Use Optional Features
Core receipt creation, history, expenses, and reports work offline. The App uses your internet connection only for optional features: purchases and subscription checks (RevenueCat and the app stores), typed address suggestions (Photon), current-location address autofill (your device's operating system services), and anything you explicitly share, email, send, export, or back up through another app or service.
If you never use an optional feature, the related processing does not happen.
4. Purchases, Subscriptions, and RevenueCat
If you purchase a QuickReceipt Pro subscription, payment is collected and processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store under their terms and privacy policies. We do not receive your payment card details.
QuickReceipt uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription status (offerings, entitlement checks, purchase restoration). RevenueCat may process a randomly generated anonymous app user identifier (the App has no accounts, so it is not linked to your name or email), purchase and transaction information such as the Apple receipt file or Google Play purchase token and your subscription status, and technical information about your device such as device type and operating system.
After you install or reinstall the App, it may check once in the background whether your store account already has an active subscription, and you can run Restore Purchases yourself at any time. Both actions ask the store and RevenueCat about your subscription status; neither sends your receipt records anywhere.
RevenueCat acts as our service provider for subscription management. Its privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.
5. Location Search and Photon / OpenStreetMap
Rideshare mode offers two optional address helpers. Both are user-triggered; the App never tracks your location in the background and never uses location for advertising.
• Typed address suggestions — as you type in the pickup or drop-off field, the text you have typed is sent to Photon (photon.komoot.io), a geocoding service operated by komoot GmbH and built on OpenStreetMap data (map data © OpenStreetMap contributors). Photon receives your address search text and the normal technical information that accompanies any internet request, such as your IP address. Your device coordinates are not sent to Photon.
• Current-location autofill — only after you tap the current-location control, the App asks for foreground location permission and, if you grant it, your device's operating system location and geocoding services convert your position into a street address.
Location permission is foreground-only and used only for these features. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings and type addresses manually instead. An address or location is stored only if you keep it in a receipt or address field.
6. Camera and Photos
Camera and photo access are used only when you start those actions yourself: taking a photo of a receipt for an expense entry (camera) or choosing a company logo from your photo library (photo picker). The App does not access your camera or photos in the background.
Images you capture or select are copied into the App's private storage on your device. QuickReceipt does not automatically upload them anywhere — there are no QuickReceipt servers to upload to. An image leaves your device only when you export, share, email, or back it up through another app or service you choose.
7. Sharing, Email, SMS, Printing, and Other Apps
When you choose Share, Email, Send via SMS, Copy, Save as Image, print, or a similar action, QuickReceipt hands the selected content to your operating system or to the app or service you pick — such as Messages, Mail, Files, iCloud Drive, or Google Drive.
From that point the receiving service's own privacy practices apply. Messages and emails are sent from your own accounts. We do not receive a copy, and we cannot control or delete content after you have sent it to another service.
8. Manual Backups and Imports
The App includes a manual backup feature (Settings → Data & Backup). Export creates a single JSON file containing your app data — receipts, sales, expenses, saved passengers and customers, business and driver profiles, recent and favorite addresses, unfinished drafts, and preferences. Logo and receipt photo image files are not included in the JSON backup (only references). Subscription and anti-abuse state is intentionally excluded from backups.
Backup files are not encrypted by QuickReceipt. You choose where the file is saved or shared through your device's share sheet; the share sheet opening does not by itself confirm that the destination actually saved the file, so verify the backup arrived where you intended.
Restoring a backup replaces your current local app data with the contents of the backup file.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Your local app data is retained on your device until you delete it, replace it by restoring a backup, uninstall the App, or reset your device. Deleting the App without exporting a backup may permanently remove your local data.
Delete All Data (Settings → Data & Backup) permanently removes your user-created data from the device: receipts, sales, expenses, saved passengers and customers, profiles, drafts, preferences, and the App-owned logo and receipt photo files.
A small amount of non-receipt state may remain on your device after deletion. It exists to restore purchases, keep subscription entitlement working, and prevent the free-tier allowance from being reset repeatedly, and it contains no receipt, customer, or passenger content.
Subscription, billing, and refund records are held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their own policies. Anything you previously exported or shared (backups, PDFs, messages, emails) lives at the destination you sent it to and must be deleted there separately.
10. Analytics and Crash Reporting
The QuickReceipt mobile app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking SDK. We do not sell your data.
This describes the App itself, not the platforms around it: Apple, Google, your device's operating system, RevenueCat, Photon, and any app or service you share content with may collect their own service, diagnostic, or usage data under their own privacy policies.
11. Website Analytics
The quick-receipt.com website (not the mobile app) uses Google Analytics to understand page traffic and download-button performance. Website analytics is separate from the mobile app and never receives receipt, customer, passenger, expense, or profile data — that information stays in the app on your device.
12. Security
Keeping your data on your device reduces exposure to server breaches, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Local app data and exported backup files are not encrypted by QuickReceipt.
The confidentiality of your data also depends on things outside the App: your device's passcode or biometric lock, operating-system backups of your device, where you store exported files, and the third-party apps and services you share content with. We recommend using a device passcode or biometric lock and storing backup files somewhere you trust.
13. Children's Privacy
QuickReceipt is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 13.
14. International Users
Your app data is stored on your own device wherever you are. The third-party services described in this policy — Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and komoot (Photon) — may process the limited information they receive on servers in other countries, including the United States and the European Union, under their own privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy, and material changes will be visible in the policy text itself. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
